Annularis Angel in a Mixed reef tank??

Mike, those are great shots. Do you see a lot of animosity between your purple and yellow tangs? I love that combination.

    Luke's New 220

It's all good. I know this isn't the normal way for a showcase thread to run. I guess I was just hoping that old grudges could be put aside, I wasn't trying to dredge anything back up. It's just an awesome tank that a lot of time, thought and trouble was put into and I thought people would...

    Luke's New 220

I put this thread in the Member's Showcase forum... I'm just curious why it got moved to The Water Fountain? That doesn't really seem appropriate. Can someone put it back in the Showcase where it belongs? Thanks, Susie

    Luke's New 220

Some of you might remember my friend Luke (liveforphysics). Luke has put a new tank together that deserves some attention. The details are incredible and I think he should show it off to the Reef Frontiers community because he still has a lot of friends here :D !!! Way to go Luke...

    My Banner Day

Hi Jesse, That's exactly what I've been using, along with very finely ground Formula 1 and 2 flakes. Sometimes I give them this alone, in the morning, when I know they're pretty hungry and sometimes I mix it with their BBS. They're coming around a little as they get used to it, but I can tell...

    My Banner Day

Mat, at this point I'm trying to get the 'teenagers' on prepared foods, but so far they are pretty much balking at whatever I offer them like it's a bad joke. It's probably going to take a few more weeks and a little tough love. They really aren't as big as they look in the picture, they're...

    My Banner Day

Thanks for opening the picture up Randy! Some day I hope to figure that stuff out. Also, thanks for explaining the CITIES list. I was a little unsure of the exact details on that. You were lucky to spend that whole day with Frank Marini, he was a fountain of information! Susie :)

    My Banner Day

Day 2 Thanks for all the kind words! They are all doing well today after being so rudely forced out before they were ready :oops::eek: Mat, I will have to trade or sell them at some point. I just don't have the room to keep them forever considering as they mature they will not allow more...

    My Banner Day

Well, a few months ago a fantastic meeting with Frank Marini really inspired me. Since then I have been having a great time with my Bangaii's. This is my first try at pictures, so I hope it works! My son swore he saw the little fins and tails in dad's mouth, and the fry must be ready to go...

    Anemone hitch-hiker

Those are great shrimp. I think they are called Pederson's Perclemines (sp?) anemone shrimp. They are pretty hard to find on the west coast. I hope he does well for you!

They're little tube worms, like mini feather dusters. That second picture is great, they have some nice red coloring. They are great filter feeders.

    clown fish eggs

Mine are usually from 7 to 9 days, with 8 being the average. It seems to depend on the temp of the tank. If you look at the eggs, you will be able to tell if hatching is imminent by the eyes. They won't look so much like eggs, more like silvery discs flashing back and forth. Good luck...

    Electrokate's Hawaiian pix

Hey Kate, I can't see how any aquarium will ever be able to compare with this experience... but it will be fun to try! I would love to be able to see all you're finding in person. Still miss you up here though :( Susie

    Southern California

Hi Brett - I don't think any of the wholesalers will let you in if you don't have an active business account with them. I went to an interesting place one time as I was going through LA called Fishsupply.com, which had recently opened it's doors to the public. It was the biggest place I...
