    CoralVue prop pumps

To my knowledge they are not wavemakers. There is a wavemaker, a resun but the prop pump's are not. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=CV-202B&Category_Code=Octo+Pump Not a wavemaker, its a powerhead. If you use it on a timer it will chatter and...

    CoralVue prop pumps

Don, those are sunsun pump's rebranded as cv. I've been running them for 8mths now. The second generation with the ceramic shafts are great. The first generation with stainless steel shafts sucked as they rusted and had leaky voltage probs, much like the koralia's. I think they used 18-8...

Check the reviews on the vertex first.

is there a better skimmer for the $$$ than this for a 300g

Beoks, those are the exact same skimmers. They are both using the otp 2000 pump's x's 3. Combined they are pulling around 20scfh. You can get a swc/msx/Oct 200 extreme that pulls that much air at 289bux. WIth one pump. They do not use the sicce's. What size of tank are you looking to skim...

    ehiem 1260 mods? help?

FWIW i have tried all the pw's out there, the cnc, WM, swc, cv, ppw. The ppw pulls around 34-37scfh hooked up to my mini cone, the swc does 32-34, the cnc and wm do 32 and cv does 13-17scfh. The ppw does give me start up problems sometimes. The others do not. Not sure if its my sicce pump...

    ehiem 1260 mods? help?

I wouldn't even mess with mesh Matt as it always leads to trouble. I'd just get a sicce with a pw and call it a day. It will pull 30-35scfh on that body and will work excellent.

    Any Ideas on T5 Problem?

Well, my air meter shows around 5scfh gained when i drop it down 2" from 8-10". Thats a pretty good gain.

    Any Ideas on T5 Problem?

There's three of them. One with one pump (mini s) and then the larger cone has two sicce's and there's the askoll cone with one askoll pump.

    Any Ideas on T5 Problem?

Depending on the model. If you run the swc160 8" may work better but on the 200-300 10" is much better. You'll gain around 5scfh from 8-10"

    Foxface / Rabbitfish eating

Wow, thats crazy. My rabbit is the most voracious of all my fish. It will eat algae off rocks and any flake, pellet or frozen food i add in there. No matter herbivoire, omni or carni. What all have you tried feeding it? Mine will eat shrimp, krill.....you name it.

    New additions (Picassos!!)

You have a very cool wife. I'm lucky if mine looks at my tank once a month. Very nice fish!

    Gotfish's 125g

You live in WA and eat crappie and fiddlers.........haha Gotfish have you ever thought about saving some real cash and doing a retrofit? I have the same tank and have 6x60" t5's with 600w and it pry cost me 500-600bux. Just a thought.

    aussie coral prices?

BS, cost on those things are around 20-30bux.

    Gotfish's 125g

Looks good. It seems to be coming along nicely. I can't wait to see the powermodule on there. Just be careful with that xenia by your sps as it will jump on there rock in days. I once had a forest too : )

    Extreme skimmer height

Its not going to hurt anything using the larger tube's. In theory it sounds correct but honestly there has to be an advantage using the 6' tubing. Not a ton, but i'd say some advantage. The biggest prob is all the backpressure on the pump at that height. Not alot of pump's do well with that...
