Lost male clown - trying to save female

Are you able to get some formula one or two? Or something with add'l creatures in it? I've read that brine has almost no nutritional value and is like candy for our fish, and that mysis isn't even a saltwater animal. Maybe a mixed food with some squid, clams, etc? And I'm assuming you always...

Lost male clown - trying to save female

Did you try the nutritional changes? It sounded like that was key for fixing the tattered fins.

    Id please

Aredeaaquarium and barrier are both getting them. But they can only get 2 per order, so it may be a bit of a wait to get them....

Gallons of saltwater Washingtonians hold collectively!

Yeah, they have the 24,000g "lagoon" exhibit, and the 240,000g shark tank. Thats nuts. Which makes our tanks feel like peanuts. lol

Gallons of saltwater Washingtonians hold collectively!

What about the point defiance aquarium?Between the shark tank, the seahorse exhibit, and that lookdown pool, they probably have more than us combined!

Rebirth of an old 300 gallon

Holy mother of pearl, that things humongous. And a whole bucket for a water change! My goodness. When Jason did a water change tonight on our tank, he actually scooped the water with a pitcher to put the 5 gals back in. Could you imagine doing that with your wc?! That metal sternum of yours...

    Help my fish!

Yeah, the clown gobies are a perching fish, and hungry emerald crabs have been known to ambush fish at night. So, it's possible... Can you take him out and put him in a QT with some antibiotics in case it gets infected?

    Are my Anemones Dying?

Is that the sebae above, and the two rbta's together about halfway down? If so, the sebae looks fine from here, but the RBTA's do look rather bleached. Is the photo fairly true to their color? And, what do the mouths look like. Open, gaping, tightly closed, ???

    Are my Anemones Dying?

Go with geiessemans, ati's, aquaticlife, and/or ge bulbs. They have the best par output. Checkout marineandreef.com, marinedepot.com, and reefgeek.com. Have you been able to feed the nem's recently? Are they still fluffy and full, or shriveled and flat? What do the mouths look like?

Just back from my first trip to Barrier Reef

Aww, I feel bad for you guys with the non-participating spouses. As much time and money as this hobby takes, if we weren't both into it, we'd probably not like each other very much....

Its so easy a cave man could do it!

Nice work! I'll have to show Jason when he gets home what you did. Our drill bit just came via UPS bout an hour ago. We're going to drill our 40b sump. We thought it looked so easy we'd feel silly having someone else do it too.

Is a protein skimmer needed for a FOWLR Tank?

Welllll.... You never really NEED a skimmer. You can just do large regular water changes. It's good for water quality to have one, but if you don't have any sensitive corals, that won't be as critical. It looks like you have an RBTA though? If so, then yes. I think you should have one.
