    RBTA

Zooxanthellae and photosynthesis. Personally I believe it's a good idea to occasionally feed anemones, especially the larger carpet anemones. With that said I have kept healthy BTA's for years with less than frequent feedings. Water quality and appropriate lighting are far more important in my...

    Suggestions?

If you scuba dive or snorkel than Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman. Actually any diving in Grand Cayman is usually fantastic. Grand Cayman also used to have a great Submarine ride, not the shallow one but a 3 person sub that goes to 400 ft.

    RBTA

It would seem to be that a portion of the digestive must divide as well to make two complete Anemones when all is said and done. That is my rational any way, add to that the slow nature of an Anemones digestive process. Any time a reasonable amount of organic matter is decaying (slowly...

    Pod Population

This is a wonderful write up. Humorous, and enlightening but without the all the damnation that follows the phrase " My 20 gallon tank has just finished cycling, I am going to add a mandarin". Thoughts on mandarins

    Thinking about upgrading =) opinions?

I think these Innovative marine nuvo 30 or 38 are awesome little tanks. Solana's are a nice AIO as well. If you can fit a 40 gallon breeder you might consider it. The 40 gallon breeder is a step up in volume of water, they also give you a lot of scaping options.

Does my anemone need more light?

Time to change the bulbs then and acclimate everything to the new bulbs.

    Metal halide

Yes only MH. I would love to have a T5/MH fixture but that has not happened yet.

    Cooking live rock?

Physically boiling live rock in an enclosed environment can be dangerous. Many hobbyist have done it without issue, some have done it and been hospitalized. Much better to use muriatic acid, or bleach or dry and recycle.

    Clown question

I am confident that as they mature and become more comfortable with their environment they will venture out more. As for as residing in the Anemone, they may never but you can try target feeding the Anemone and see if they will go in for the food then decide it's a nice spot to hang out. If...

    Hello

Hi Todd, Long story short, I had all the bells and whistles, sold it all and live stock, all but the tank. Decided I would give it one more go (dino tried to drive me out) and started another sps tank with nothing, no skimmer, no reactor, no sump. I keep her going on water changes, daily...

    My Toadstool has HOLES!!!! HELP!!!

Are you keeping your eye out for little white/cream colored Nudibranch that eat Sacrophyton? Have you gotten any new frags in that they could have hitch-hiked in on? Sacrophyton will reproduce by fragmenting, basically just ripping apart although slowly.

    iroll253's Undecided Nano

Looks like the tank has decided to be really attractive nano. In the images of the Setosa you can see some pink coloration to the rock, it's that LED or something else? The scape you created is perfect for that tank, it really make me think of starting a nano to do the same type of layout.
