    i wouldnt bother if you don't have an sps dominated tank. the 14k bulb probably will have less par anyways. yeaa itll have more blue par but don't worry about it

    plan looks awesome, but 1200gph is definately on a low side for a 180; with such little flow you wont be utilizing ur sump to the fullest josh

    hmm im guessing they are refering to the total heat. it may seem that hqi produce more heat because of the high flux of heat concentrated on to a smaller bulb.

    i never heard of xenia sucking up any nitrates, but if they did im guessin they would be horrible. i heard xenia actually take up some ammounts p04.

    hey todd! cooking your rock isnt a bad idea, as long as you are willing to wait some time for the rock to cure again. it appears you dont have much coraline anyways so boiling or leaving your rock to dry wont be that much of a sacrifice. i had a 55g to hold live rock and the heater short...
