need help finding a light fixture

I think all of these are pretty reputable marineandreef.com drsfostersmith.com marinedepot.com What is the length of the 60 gallon tank? I would put as powerful of T5 fixture that I could fit on the tank, basically as many bulbs as you can get from front to back. Sometimes they sell 4 or 6...

need help finding a light fixture

T5's are a great choice. The Nova extreme pro lights are pretty top notch. I think the difference between the extreme and the extreme pro is the extreme pro have individual contoured reflectors and cooling fans, extreme looks like it has individual reflectors but not sure if they are contoured...

    my new sweet little nano

Sweet tank, what is it, a Elos? And what type of lights? Filtration, sump, skimmer?

    cross's 10gl nano build

T5's will be great on that tank, a little less wattage but more "punch". The light I had was PC, but more wattage. The T5's will do great with sps, lps, and softies. Shoot me a PM in about a week, I will have a few freebie frags to help you get started, if you are interested. Presently I am...

    cross's 10gl nano build

Good looking moon lights, are they blue or white? I think you will be happy with the T5 lights once they are cut down to fit the tank.

    ID help

Welcome to RF! Are the corals soft or hard to the touch? If they are soft, then I will venture a guess, the first pic almost looks like closed up zoanthids?

    600 gallon build

Based on the looks of your 125 I think you will do just fine with the 600. Keep us posted on the progress! Oh, and welcome to Reef Frontiers!

    zoa problems - solved????

 another colony infected in the Solana. I am seeing quite a few small amphipods/copepods around the older infected colonies, but on this new one I did not see any. I am guessing the pods are eating the dead flesh. Boy it sure does hit fast, this colony was fine yesterday, and now, more...

    zoa problems - solved????

I think I read possibly (and maybe I am just making this up) :D not reef safe as in they might eat shrimp, snails, hermits, but as with any fish they all can have their own personality.

    zoa problems - solved????

I am hoping I just caught the colony in that moment of time when they were closing, and just happened to look like the other dying zoas, I did a fresh water iodine dip just in case....I will check on them later tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed.

How to protect laminate wood floors

I don't think the problem will be any spills around the tank, the laminate will do just fine. It is the spills that seep under the cabinet and soak their way throught the cracks in the laminate. You probably won't notice any damage until you move the tank, for that reason, I would stay away...

    zoa problems - solved????

It appears that whatever it is has now moved into my frag tank, not 100% sure but a few colonies don't look right, look likes the beginning of the "disease". I am now assuming that either I cross contaminated the systems when I did my last water change, or possibly the rubbermaid container I...

    zoa problems - solved????

This list was on RC. Anyone have any luck with any of these, eating nudis and/or copepods/amphipods. Any of these good at leaving shrimp alone? 1. Yellow Coris 2. 6 Line 3. Lunar 4. Possum 5. Orange Striped 6. Christmas 7. Pink Striped 8. Some have said most anything in the Halichores Family...

    zoa problems - solved????

Just the one colony, maybe 2 showing signs of recovery. Other infected colonies it looks like only maybe a couple of zoas will live if any. I have lost 2 full colonies so far, and it looks like I could lose another 4-5 completely. I might get a wrasse, can't hurt, any friendly reef safe wrasses?

    zoa problems - solved????

Interesting, I have seen copepods/amphipods cruising around the zoas, never had a problem with them in the past though. The guys I have are the ones that get up to 1/4" long and tend to look curled up, kinda beige. I know, I just described about 1000 different bugs! :) I might have to get a...
