what's up all! im Justin, i live out in Arizona and gonna get in over my head and start a 600 gallon system... i was refereed to this site from Reefdaddy1... i got an air stone skimmer from a 200 gallon tank i bought and i had NO CLUE how it worked.... i posted these pics of it and no one knew anything about it.. i got "it's powered by Egyptian slaves its so old"" and everyone was telling me to "recirc it"
so outta nowhere some guy told me to slightly modify it(add air stones, improve plumbing)... i got the feeling this guy knew what he was talking about, so i invited him over to take a look at it and explain it to me, but i know nothing in this world is free so i hooked him up with a T5 retro kit... i got lots of useful information out of him and he said "that kind of skimmer is big in Washington State" and that "the skimmer would be killer"...
i was hoping that someone out there knew about this system... i bought it from some1 from Washington...skimmer/sump, and remote fuge look custom but the display tank says I.A.P.(Ivovative Aquarium Products?) and i think they were/are from washington... well heres some pics of the system explained and also there's a 180 gallon with a 60 gallon sump.... im still in the process of building the canopy for the 180 to house 2 Lumenarc III's... then i gotta get the 200 going(plumbing, lighting, rock, sand)
and heres a pic of my 125 just for fun
