    two skimmers yes or no

toss the skilter, well keep it for backup, your just wasting electricty with it running. The remora will skim circles around it anyway.

You Know Your A Reefer when:

You know your a reefer when... Your tank and equipment cost more than the wifes mini van When you decide you have to move to a bigger house so you can have a bigger tank When you spend hours in the kitchen whippin up the next batch of fish food while the kids miss lunch

You Know Your A Reefer when:

    Mushroom

Viki, sorry to hear about your clown fish. You really have to watch those bigger mushrooms. The ones in my avatar are about 4-5" around when fully extended and they try to get my little clown gobie. You will want to keep yours well fed if you try more clowns. Try feeding them small shrimp. One...

    Feather Dusters

Detri, there are a lot of tiny dusters out there. Some are very short lived. There is one species in my tank that makes a small white tube maybe only 1/32" in diameter when the tube reaches about 1-2 inches long the duster dies. Of course there are hundreds on the rock so the population stays...

Lets talk about- Clean up crews

Way to put it krish, and even stay on track! What we personally do for clean up is the most important aspect of keeping tanks. The help we get from nature is very much appreciated though. Can you imagine spending 8 hours a day cleaning your tank! Lets let nature help out.

    Corals and lighting question

I have to agree with seve. You will need a lot more light to really keep any coral. Try to upgrade to icecaps and vho or even power compacts. I run pc's 2 65 watt bulbs. U can get rertofit units for pretty reasonable. Its definatly worth the money to upgrade and keep a larger varity of animals.
