    Nano stream bracket?

Does anybody know where I might be able to order a replacement bracket for my Nano Stream 6025? (I don't recall where I got it originally, or I'd ask them) I haven't been able to find any place selling them individually. -Dylan

Kalk reactor users - thoughts on these product?

My Reef Creations is in the process of releasing (I think they're starting to ship now) a line of kalk reactors that're stirrer based with a built-in timer, which I think is pretty neat. They price is a little more than the Drs Foster and Smith one, but its an option as well. -Dylan

    Camping/Vactioning in you area

I'd say ONP, but I'm biased since I grew up on the edge of it. Still, its gorgeous, and a bit of a different feel than Rainier that I prefer. -D

    Just a quick light question

I just upgrade my 20G to a 150W Sunpod, and from what I can see on my tank, I really doubt 70W would be enough for higher light SPS. You should be fine with some of the moderate-light ones though. You might look at deepwater acros (I think a lot of those nifty deep blue ones fall into that...

    Getting rid of mushrooms

I'll see if I can get the rock out. Its the very bottom rock supporting all the rest of my aquascaping, but that's probably the best bet. Thanks all! -D

    Getting rid of mushrooms

I have a couple species of mushrooms that hitchhiked in on my rock and proliferated over the past couple years. They're not unpleasently colored (people pay money for these sorts), but I'm moving in an SPS direction with a couple LPS at the tank bottom, so I'd really like them gone...

    I think I did a bad thing...

My crab completely ignores my bubble algae. My long spined urchin mows it down pretty effectivly in places where he can get to it though. =) -Dylan

A little reading: Blue Coral Method

I do believe that is one of the best uses of babelfish I've seen yet. :P I don't have any SPS currently, but I'll certainly give this a shot when I finally get an SPS tank setup! -Dylan

    Closed Loop Cavitation

I doubt it. (I'm not Scooty, but I'll answer) I've never heard of a microbubble issue caused by cavitation in an aquarium pump. While you're not supposed to run a larger output than one is rated for, lots of people do, it basically just adds to the head pressure. (Pushing against more water)...

    Cleaning CPR overflow

Does anybody have any suggestions for cleaning a CPR overflow? I noticed mine was kinda gunky, so I ran my skimmer brush briefly down on the outflow side of it where I could actually reach and watched my water go from clear to incredibly nasty almost immediatly. I'm sure its functioning as a...

    adjustable baffles/bubbletrap

It should be available at Home Depot, I found it in all sorts of sizes at both the ones in my area. (West Seattle and SODO) -Dylan

    adjustable baffles/bubbletrap

I'm using one, but the stripping doesn't stay on very well. It does work reasonably well to keep my chaeto out of my return pump, but I've had a difficult time getting it to stay put when in a bubble-trap configuration taking the full force of the water flowing through the sump. -D

whats wrong with my brain coral?

I have a nano, and it is indeed very possible to keep nitrates at zero. In my case, its a result of a low bioload, good skimmer, and chaeto in my sump. (Although the chateo was added later, and I don't think its done terribly much, it grows very very slow). Be careful with the possibility...

    Aquascaping

Pretty much what Brenden said. We used a combination of zip ties, acrylic dowel w/ spade bits to drill the holes, a small hatchet to trim off bits, and a chop saw with a masonry blade to flatten the ends of some tall pieces so they could be glued directly to the bottom of the tank. That is...

    inflated Hammer coral?/

Mine does that too. I haven't been able to figure out why, but it certainly seems quite happy and is growing well, so I figured it wasn't an issue. -Dylan
