Post your tank size and flow numbers

2xMJ400s and a GenX 2400 as a return currently, for about 550gph. Replacing the MJs with a Tunze 6025, so that should give me around 1000gph. Tank is a 20H. Moving towards mostly LPS now. -Dylan

    we gots some corals....

Do you guys have any of the usual suspects for cleanup inverts the such? You're the closest reef store to me now, and a salinity spike while I was on vacation killed a lot of my snails, so I'm looking to replace them. =) -Dylan

Ricordia pics for Krish (pic intense)

Hmmm. Your frilly mushrooms actually split like normal mushrooms. Mine just keeps getting bigger and has never split. I've got an 8" diameter frilly mushroom in a 20G nano. Any idea what made yours decide to stop growing and behave like a normal mushroom? :P -Dylan

    Reef Roids

Yes, and yes. My calustrea doesn't seem to care much, but my favia is definitely growing better with it. -Dylan

Quick picture of my 20G nano right now :(

I dosed vinegar slowly last night to bright the pH back down measurably when I started doing the water changes. Its 8.3 currently. -D

Quick picture of my 20G nano right now :(

Yeah, I've been mulling this over as well. The tank is really too small (and not enough hard coral load) to justify a small calcium reactor, so kalk is really it. I think if you have a cutoff switch much closer to the normal water level, things are pretty safe as well. This is the first time...

Quick picture of my 20G nano right now :(

Well, my LMB is accounted for. Still haven't seen the orchid dottyback. Changed ~18 gallons of water and things are looking ok, other than a little hazy. Added fresh carbon and I'll see how it goes I guess. -D

ATO stuck. Hit its failsafe, but not before dumping ~2.5 gallons of kalk topoff into the tank. Picture is after the first 5g water change... Coral seems fine, and my snails are wandering around, but I haven't seen either of the fish yet. :( -D

    Camera choice?

They should work fine, the digitals still use the Canon EF (EOS) lens mount and electronics. -Dylan

    diy stand generator program

The stuff I got at Home Depot was untreated and definitely not cedar. Not sure what exactly it was, but it was much cheaper and wasn't as soft of a wood. -D

    Help red algae

If you feel like searching for it, Boomer said in one of the carbon threads that high quality (including Black Diamond) carbon will not leech back into the water, it will just saturate and cease being helpful after about 2-3 weeks. -Dylan

    Actinic Coral Photos

Sure, but it won't help much unless you're shooting in RAW format. =) When I import the photos, I increase the white balance point and shift the tint until a color obviously being washed out (I use the corraline for that usually) looks pretty much normal. That leaves you pretty close, or at...

    Actinic Coral Photos

I don't have many under actinic-only light, but here's a couple I do have: (White balance adjusted to remove much of the blue cast but keep the fluorescence) -D

    Automation remodel

HAH! Yeah, I'd say that's effectivly unlimited. This looks like a really great approach to automation for the technically minded. Beats the heck out of X10 -Dylan

Is there a limit to the number of SECU-16s that can be addresses by an Ocelot? This sounds like some great information! Can't wait to hear more. -Dylan
