Every Reefers Worst Nightmare come true -Warning graphic photos
You'd have one GFCI on the circuit - it would be the "control". I have GFCI on all 5 of the circuits around my tank - but several of the circuits have 1 gfci outlet (near the tank) and non-GFCI's elsewhere on the same circuit. When you are looking at new electric - you may want to make sure...- jesseb

Looks like one. Do you have a picture of the shell - it'll be rather smooth.. Looks like he's gaping a bit - but not usually a big deal with Croceas... did you just get it and put it in your tank?- jesseb

Astrea Snail Mass Spawning
yeah - it's pretty nasty at the moment. I'll do a 30 gal water change tomorrow and thursday... that should cover it....- jesseb

Astrea Snail Mass Spawning
I had a mass spawning of the Astrea snails in my tank this evening. About 1 hr before lights out - all of the Astrea Snails started "smoking", and then for the hour lights were on - there were regular puffs of eggs. Quite the feast and quite the show - fish in the tank didn't know which way to...- jesseb

New Clams - ID suspect....
I'm betting you're right. I did get them there. :D I picked 'em up saturday - the tank was dark - so I didn't see them well until I got them into my tank.. very nice surprise....- jesseb

New Clams - ID suspect....
Picked up these two clams yesterday... sold as a squamosa and derasa - though in looking at them opened up - looks like a teardrop maxima and a crocea... thoughts? The "squammy" is between 7 and 8 inches - the "derasa" around 4". 3 photos - the "squamosa" from top and side, and the "derasa"...- jesseb

How many colors of sponges do you have in your tank?
White - with larger pores, a yellowish fuzzy sponge... a gray sponge that seems to encrust rock under the light... and some bright lime green which I keep removing when I find it - I've seen it grow around corals (frogspawn and anthelia polyp).- jesseb
