    Yashia Goby and Shrimp

Cool thanks, I hope they do. Right now I know where the Goby is (hiding in the rocks) and I THINK I know where the shrimp is. I saw him digging some same burrows right after adding him, but I don't see him anymore. I know new critters like to hide for a while. That shrimp can DIG! It looked like...

    Yashia Goby and Shrimp

I finally added my Yashi Goby and matching shrimp to my tank today! Anyway I was wondering if anyone else has this pair? When I put them in the water I tried to put them by the sand in their own spot but they got separated, the goby went one way and the shrimp the other. Will the shrimp survive...

    Help w 75gallon tank

i just added a 20gal high sump under my 75. I also have the Remora with a Maxijet1200. I needed the 20gal high for the skimmer to have enough water depth, but i also put the skimmer inside the tank in the water so I would have enough room to lift the collection cup out. I am using the Mag9.5 for...

    Camping/Vactioning in you area

BOTH! I go to Rainier at least 3 times a year. If you goto Rainier, you may want to camp on the Northeast side (Sunrise area, the White River Campground) It doesn't open for a couple more months though. Mt. Rainier is going to be very busy rebuilding roads and trails this year as most were...

New Update 04/01/07 Things are looking good in the tank and I got some more rock from returnofsid, so here are some new pictures. The red algae is all but kicked in the pants, a little is left in the refugium. Again I have to say thanks to all here in Spokane for helping me and sharing some...

    Premium Membership Update

Here is another question since we are asking questions, how do you search a "phrase"? Like drilled tank and get the phrase "drilled tank" and not individual words, drilled and tank???

Big thank you to Cy and Barrier Reef! Update on my Milli

I think my problem was with the water I was putting in the tank. Now I have my own RO/DI system and things are looking good. All the hammer heads just split so now I have 6 heads. Its still about the same size overall but it is growing.

Big thank you to Cy and Barrier Reef! Update on my Milli

twiliard, I had a MAJOR algae break out, for a long time. And I added a little fishes phosphate filter and it cleared up in a matter of a couple weeks! As people probably told you before, you have to reduce the phosphates getting into you system first, but the filter worked wonders removing what...

    Red Cyano?? (Asparagopsis)

Another Update: The fuzz algae is all but gone! Just a couple little patches left, but I bet in another day or so, it will be gone completely! I think it was a combination of the phosphate filter and 6 Mexican turbos. Its so nice to look at the rock and actually SEE the rock. hehe

    Salt switching question

Thanks you all for the comments. I think I'm gonna try the reef crystals... see how that goes. I was thinking of mixing 50/50 for the first couple water changes.

    Salt switching question

Well, my LFS is recommending that I change to Seachem. Right now I have to add calcium and I was thinking if I could get closer levels with my salt i wouldn't have to add stuff. Just a question, not sure on what i should do...

    Salt switching question

OK I have a question about switching salts. I have been using IO and adding calcium. What are peoples opinions on switching salts? I'm looking at going to SeaChem reef salt. Thanks
