Theres already a 42" in there, can't fit anything bigger. We had the cabinetry pre-built to fit the TV.

Kovy's Reef - Final Design - Help me decide!

Ok guys, this is it. Im FINALLY ready to buy my dream tank. I have two options: A) Tank upstairs, in the living room. Everyone will see it, but having the fish room downstairs means lots of plumbing and a strong return pump. B) Tank in game room/basement, adjacent to fish room. Not so many...

    help wanted with little giant

Can you give a little more information about what isn't working? I would open the housing and check for impeller damage. That is a common pump problem.

    Media Reactors?

I was about to say that! You beat me to it. I had just looked up a biopellet reactor when It hit me that I totally forgot about the "tumble" aspect of a biopellet reactor. I was about to edit my post and add that when I got the email that you posted it. Now thats freaky. Thanks Mojo.

    Media Reactors?

Im not exactly sure but on another forum I saw a few people convert their reactors and they did something different with the mesh pads. But I think you should be fine without any adjustments.

    Absolutely incredible. Just amazing.

    Media Reactors?

For the most part, its just market appeal. When companies see "cone" skimmers get hot on the market, they make cone reactors. At the end of the day they all have the same design. Tank water is pumped in, flowing through the media from top to bottom or vise versa. There isn't really a...

    Hi ReefFrontiers!

Ok, some more info for you guys. Floor to the ceiling is 7" (84"). My idea for the tank was 60"x30"24". (About 180G). I need at least 12" for the canopy, which leaves me at: 20" Canopy = 36" 24" Tank 40" Stand = 84" (7') What do you think? Good...

    Hi ReefFrontiers!

Ok this was REALLY rough, but gives an overall idea. No measurements, and pretty much NOT to scale. Just a guide to show what Im dealing with.

    Hi ReefFrontiers!

The size of the tank depends on were I put it. Originally I wanted the tank in-wall, then moved the idea to the living room, and now Im thinking it makes the most sense to put it in the game room, adjacent to the fish room. Putting it in the game room removes 11 feet of head height and saves...

    Hi ReefFrontiers!

Not much progress yet. Next week I plan on ordering the tank and some more equipment. I only buy what I can afford, which is why the build is taking so long. I would rather wait and have the best equipment than rush and only get OK gear.

    Hi ReefFrontiers!

I always left in the late morning so never hit major traffic, but it usually took me about 1 hour to get there. I enjoyed every day working there and look foreword to returning next week.
