    Anyone purchase this R/O unit???

    I bought that same unit just under 2 years ago and havent had to replace the filters yet. Ive made who knows how much water with it (2000 gal?) and it still reads 0 tds coming out. Of course it only reads 16-20 going in. Its a great system and a great seller.

    Lighting for Coral

    VHOs like regular flourescent tubes but brighter, they come in white and blue (actinic). The point of pairing them with a metal halide is to help bring out the color in corals by using actinic VHOs in much the same way blacklights make neon colors on shirts glow.

    I have a pair of false percs in a RBTA. When I first added them they completely ignored the anemone. It took them close to 4 months to finally settle in. I've seen the statistic of 50/50 on whether the false perc will host a BTA.

    I have the AquaC Urchin, which is just like the remora but without the hang-on part. Its noisy. Its a constant white noise in the background. It sounds like youre spraying a hose into a bucket full of water and the nozzle of the hose is just barely touching the surface.

    Thats something called mojano. Its considered to be a pest anemone. Grows and reproduces pretty quick. Most people try and get rid of them. Heres a pic of it in the Reef Frontiers photo collection.

    Sun Polyps need zero light, but they need to be fed mysis/brine shrimp daily. The mushrooms that Wrightme suggested are nice too, you can get some nice colored ones, from green to red to striped. Xenia should grow great too.

    It looks to me to be a Hagen Phosphate Test Kit by Rolf C. Hagen Corp. Sold primarily in the UK and Australia. http://www.hagen.com/uk/ I cannot find any instructions online, you might ask an employee at a fish store to copy instructions from another box. Hope this helps.

    Bluestripe Pipefish

    Well today at lunch I got them both to take a few snicks at some frozen cyclopeeze. So far things are going ok. Im a bit worried, I think both of them are male and Bluestripe are very territorial. The larger one hasnt shown an interest in the smaller yet, so theres hope that im a bad judge of sex.
