    Magazine

There was a topic several months ago that I can't seem to find. It was which is the best publication/magazine for corals, and there was one that everyone agreed on, and I had never heard of. Anybody want to try to fill me in again???

The only pictures of me are attached to dead things. I'll let you figure out which one is the moose.

What corals do you have that've spawned?

Thanks! I haven't thought about it much, but I suppose if they keep growing I willhave to do something with them.

Stimulating reproduction by anthocauli in cycloseris/fungia

Some of you may have seen this in the other thread, but this is a follow up to the above picture. This is one year later. You can see that one of the colonies has settled off. I suppose I could break them off the main stem, but I want nature to take its course.

What corals do you have that've spawned?

As promised, here is an updated photo from a year later of my little daughter colonies. As you can see in the photo, one has disconnected itself and has settled nearby. I opted to let them go naturally instead of forcing the breaks.

    Best auto top off system

So how does that work. Say the one that goes into the sump. Does the one switch turn a pump in a tank somewhere on, which puts water from that resevoir into the sump until it reaches a certain level then the second one shuts the pump of????? How does the single switch work, just off and on...

    Let's See Those Clams!

I want to bite on the whole lighting thing. I know the 6500k growth thing with corals, how about clams. I'm about to go 20,000 from 10,000. What do you think it will do to the clams????

    Best LFS in Seattle area

I can totally relate. I took my wife on a date to Portland with no kids. What I got out of it was my annual shopping trip to Soutas. $500 later, my frags, maxima, and ourselves were travelling down the interstate back to Washington. I cashed out a bunch of vacation, 1/3 went to bills, 1/3...

    Best LFS in Seattle area

Advanced Aquarium in Portland, Where is that located? Is that the one down by Lake Osweego. I absolutely love Soutas. I haven't made it over to Blue Sierra yet, but it is on my agenda.

    Online coral availability trends. Why???

I've noticed that it seems like everyone has an abundance of Croceas, and that their prices have come down. Maybe I'm just thinking that cause I want a bunch of them. : )

    PH meter problem

I got a pinpoint monitor from the Docs for 89.00. They probably weren't the best deal in town, but could get it here quick, and no one local had one.

    PH meter problem

Check the battery. Mine went ape nuts, but didn't give me the low battery signal. I put a new battery in, and it was just fine. (Until I accidently dropped it into my sump last week) New one arrived yesterday. What a putze!

    Whats on your bottom?

There is so much sand at the bottom of my tank you could host the gold metal beach volleyball match there.

    "Local" fish stores

Thanks for the info. Are there anymore out there???? I'm really looking for one with lots of SPS frags, and that might have a good selection of clams. I will definately check these out.

    "Local" fish stores

I'm looking for some other great stores that carry SPS in the "neighborhood". I just found Kevin's place in Spokane, which I can't wait to get back to, and Ioften spend my lifes savings on my annual trip to Soutas in Portland. Any recommendations for the West side of the state??? I just...

    Sps Frags

They can recover if they have just bleached. If they start sloughing off or tissue necrosis, then that part isn't likel;y to recover. If some of it retains its tissue, then yest it can regrow. I've had some miraculous recoveries.
