    Porcupine puffer..

Actually, a Porc. Puffer does not release toxins upon dying. They are poisonous to eat, yes...but do not release toxins, like a Boxfish.

    What camera do you use?

Olympus Camedia 7.1 MP...no special lenses, or extra goodies...

Looking to add a fish, need advice

It looks like your tank is pretty much full, right now, and in fact...start looking forward to getting rid of that Yellow Tang, unless you plan on upgrading to a 90gal. tank or bigger.

    Another stocking list....request advice

Sorry to jump into this so late... My personal opinion is that a Naso is too small for a 120gal. We're talking about a fish that will reach legths of 18", in the home aquarium. Plus...they're swimmers...just doesnt seem like enough room to me. If you're going to go with a Yellow, I'd suggest...

Sorry...I got a little bent out of shape over the comment. No offense taken, Rocky. I apologize for taking it personally.

Easy there...step down off the pedestal for a second... I'm not a noob, so please dont talk to me like I am. The Angler was not just "dumped in my sump". It was actually in the 50gal. refugium chamber of my 60gal. sump. And...you cant really say "Why would anyone buy a fish, just to dump it in...

Well...the strangest thing happened...something I shouldve thought about, but didnt. I had my new Angler in the 60gal. sump of my 200gal. tank with a 1" Scorpionfish. I came home from work, yesterday, to find the Angler dead. It looks like the Scorpionfish stung it and killed it. Wierd, I...

need help ASAP on newly added 6 line wrasse

Jumping into this a little late, I know, but the first thing I would do, Jonathan is to stop picking/sucking/rubbing the slime off of him, if you havent stopped already. It's only stressing him out more. The slime coat is a natural defense, as other people stated. In the wild, these fish will...

what are all the symboitic pairs?

Yeah, Sea Betta is another name for them. They usually max out at around 12" - 13". They're expensive little buggers too....$100 for little 3" specimens (that's the price in Chicago anyway).

    The fish I've ALWAYS wanted...

I put her in the tank, so here are a few more, better pics. The first thing the little SOB did was swim over to my 4" Red Starry Hermit and bit off 4 of his legs. hahahaha After that, she was brave enough to swim over and take food from my big Banded Cat Shark...here's an action shot of that...

most humane way to kill a suffering fish?

If you're absolutely sure that the fish wont survive, or it you know that it's suffering, only to die later, this is the easier, quickest, most humane way to euthenize a fish... Take a zip lock bag and fill it 1/2 - 3/4 full or water. Place the fish in the bag, seal it, and put it in the...

what are all the symboitic pairs?

I have a big Whitemouth Moray (Gymnothorax meleagris). In the wild, they have symbiotic relationships with the Marine Betta (Sea Comet). From what I've read, these 2 will live in the same cave. When a predator comes along, the Comet will spread it's fins and push it's body against the Moray...

    The fish I've ALWAYS wanted...

Is now in my tank! :D I got a 4" Brazilian Queen Trigger today. Went to a fish store, for Loc-Line, and found this guy. They said they almost sold it, this morning, till they asked the guy what tank he had. He told them he was putting it in a 46gal. bowfront reef/community/peaceful tank. They...

I dont have the tank done, yet. Right now, Fat Tony is living in the 60gal. sump of my 200gal. predator tank. But, here are 2 pics of his future home. It should be done by this weekend. The middle hole is a 1.5" drain. The other 4 will be mixed between returns from the sump (the top middle...

    Newest family member...

Well, he's my second angler. I also have a 4" purple Wartskin Angler (attached pic). The big guy...I'm leaning towards naming him Fat Tony...lol...is already eating frozen food. I acclimated him, last night, and he's currently residing in the 60gal. sump of my 200gal. tank. I just finished...

My new Angler... He's a little bigger than a baseball, and I have no clue what species it is. I'm thinking he's Antennarius nummifer, but I'm not sure. I picked him up for the surprisingly LOW price of $53 (including tax). I saw the price and had to have him. lol

    Finally got a camera...

Finally got my Banded Cat Shark to come out of his cave...still bad pics though. He swam from his cave, directly behind more rocks. lol Also, got a few more good shots of my Moray. Oh...and one close up of my month old Banded Cat Shark pup...

    Finally got a camera...

That's a cool idea. IMO, you wouldnt need the walls at all. I say take them out and just leave the standpipes in place.
