HLLE (Head and Lateral Line Erosion)

I bought a 3" Desjardinii tang that had HLLE.That was 4 years ago.I figured pristine water and an excellent diet would fix him right up.It never improved. The latest I had read was someone had incredible improvement by soaking SeaVeggies in lemon juice.A vitimin C deficency is also thought to be...

    Need Advise, small delema

I would say the 400 would present a definite heat issue. Also consider the cost of the extra 150W of electricity.I am interested in what kind of 400W setup he can sell you for $100 cheaper than a 250W.You may want to look online for setups.I know Big Al's and Reef Raft are in Canada.

I would leave it low and give it a chance to recover. You can always feed it some mysis shrimp to boost its strength.

    Tridacnid Work Shop

I've ask about pics of egg sacks in the past, but no one seems to have one. I have had pyramids so tiny I could barely see them.I use some dentals tools and a magnifying glass to scape out the scutes on the Max's and Squammies. The egg sack to which Barry was referring was probably laid by that...

    here i go again flatworms

I have used Flatworm Exit successfully on several tanks.I found that doubling the recommended dosage works best, with a follow up treatment 1 week later. No harm was done to fish, corals,or clams. Be sure to vacuum up FW before treatment and after, and run lots of carbon after.

    The best bought mandarin food

Thanks for the nutritional value,Adelaid. Empty snails shells, especially Mexican turbo shells are the best for pod breeding.

    Anthias behavior

I didn't suggest trial and error.Fish breath due to mother nature-not the rule book.People have rules-not fish.

    Anthias behavior

These things are decided by mother nature. The fish don't read the same books that we do,and they don't have a rule book to go by.When the male died, they were both probably equally ready to fill his shoes. It will be great if they don't develope any aggression toward one another. Do you have any...

    Anthias Compatability

Nikki-Thanks for starting this thread, and thank you Kevin and others for such great input.I have a 125G(barebottom,SPS,6')that houses a trio of Ocellaris clowns and a pair of Priolepis nocturno gobies.I would like to add a few lyrtail Anthias since they are active and like the high flow.Or,would...

    Is this a local site?

Welcome from Florida.I think the confusion comes from some of the reef club members not realizing that they are on a public and worldwide site. They know where they are located, but don't realize the world is much bigger.
