Spinners newest MO FLOWs must be 18 to enter

So are these similar to the rotating flow returns that are moved by the current of the water flowing through them?

my 160 gallon rebuild. going to make it a anemone garden tank

I know that pH can be an issue with freshly made aragocrete/concrete, which is why those have to be cured, but everything I've read says that the pavers aren't an issue because they've been outside and aren't all that recently made. Its certainly not a bad idea to soak them and see. I've got a...

my 160 gallon rebuild. going to make it a anemone garden tank

Ok. I was just curious because I'm planning on using pavers from Lowes for the aquascaping of my rebuild, and was wondering what your source for that was.. If its just verbal conversations, then that's one thing, but if you've got links to that being posted on the web, I'd be very interested in...

my 160 gallon rebuild. going to make it a anemone garden tank

Never heard of that. Sanjay Joshi has had them in his aquarium without issue for a LONG time...going on almost 10 years now IIRC.... August 2010 Tank of the Month http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index.php/current-issue/article/66-tank-of-the-month

Why the change in base material, (stepping stones vs acrylic stands)?

my 160 gallon rebuild. going to make it a anemone garden tank

The pavers have been outside at the store for God knows how long....do you really need to cure them in freshwater? I'd be more interested in covering them up with something...glue some rubble rock on there or something...unless you're going to be doing a DSB.....

    auto feeders

I've got two Avast Marine products.....both from the U built side of the business, (they sell you the parts and instructions for the build, and you do the labor. Its cheaper than the pre-built version), and I'm impressed with their stuff. I have their Kalk stirrer, and the Bio-Pellet reactor...

Please do post it. I'd be very interested in the study. :)

    auto feeders

The main thing (IMO) to keep in mind with auto feeders is the type of food the vast majority of them can dispense.... Flakes or Pellets. Flakes and Pellets are both very high in phosphates and don't have very good nutritional value when compared to other foods. However, there are several...

    My 300----- the Rebuild

You've been in this hobby for a long time too, so you fully understand how important it is to be able to do regular maintenance EASILY. I have 3 little girls, (my Paddy-Rican House Monkey's...Wife is Puerto Rican and Black, and I'm Irish....hence the Paddy-Rican's), and all three of them are...

    My 300----- the Rebuild

Yes it sucked....but.... I'm in the process of a rebuild so its going to be okay. I started out with a 120 that I bought from NaH20 and was designed as a stand alone set up that made maintenance very easy. The it morphed into a conglomeration of tanks all connected by a single sump which made...

    Powder Blue Parasite, Help!

All water in the QT originally was RO. I don't use tap water in my systems at all. Too much TDS, I'd have an algae farm almost immediately. Interesting take on this by Fenner. Based on what I've seen, this isn't mucous sloughing....but appears to be a parasite IMO.

    Powder Blue Parasite, Help!

I've been dealing with a parasite that I'm pretty sure is the same one Rea17 had on the PBT. I recently obtained a small Blue Line Angelfish, (Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis) from an online vendor, and placed it in a 20H QT. At about the 2 week mark, I was about to move it to a community tank...

my 160 gallon rebuild. going to make it a anemone garden tank

I appreciate the offer Chad, but I'm in St Louis MO. Not anywhere near local. I figured I'd just go slow and add water to the bit regularly and frequently, but I don't have access to a drill press. I'll be doing this with a Dewalt and patience.... Still a ways off yet. I have several rocks...

my 160 gallon rebuild. going to make it a anemone garden tank

Cool. I'm in the process of cleaning new rock for the rebuild of my 120 and I'll be going with the pavers and rods method as well. I'm bouncing around between using rods or pvc though, and was just curious about what you did and how. How did your drill bit do going through the paver? I'd rather...
