    Only if the zoas are irritated enough that they never open. Otherwise vermetid snails are fairly harmless.

    they are beautiful but I've seen many a lost fish due to them. Also, there's nothing quite as enjoyable as accidentally bumping one with your arm, having it wrap around it, and then stinging the living daylights out of you.

    Steve, What type of rock did it come in on? Or is it just something that grew at Gateway Aquatics so we'll never be able to trace it? Looks like it could possibly be Sansibia too.

    Deb, please don't put Caulerpa into your display tank. All it takes is one piece that the tang misses to float into the current and land in a crevice in your rock and then you have a mess on your hands.

    Also, with any fish that may be on it's way out, when you put it back in the tank, purposely run water over it's gills. Use slow current not fast current (I.e. a maxijet 400 would be better to use than a maxijet 1200). You would be shocked at how many spring back to life.
