Is there such thing as too much GFO for FOWLR?

Do a google search for "lathhanum chloride". There is a VERY long thread on a national forum regarding its careful use to reduce high phosphates. A user on my local BBS used it while he was preparing live rock that was dead and dried out, with tons of organic Debris still in it. It was...

    My 120

I leave the first 4 bulbs (the actinics and blue plus bank) on from 10am-9pm. The second bank of bulbs (daylights and 2 blues) from 12pm-8pm. I change them once a year. They say you can run them longer than that. I started in Nov 2005 with my first set when I set my 72 back up after Katrina...

Ben's (Class Clown) 240G Photo thread

Awesome tank and gorgeous pictures. I have a canon EOS 20D and pretty much the same lenses you have, but, I can't get anywhere NEAR those kinds of photos! How do you do it??? I find it extremely hard as well, since my tank is all fluorescent bulbs (T5s), as opposed to a metal halide tanks, to...

    My 120

Thank you! Virtually everything in there was grown from frags from local reefers and stores, with the exception of the pocillipora, the pavona, and the fungia.
