    PSAS Raffle Tank-180

Sadly, and with many tears I had to make the decision to take the tank down. I'm in college right now and money is really tight. Plus we had to sell my house because my family and I can't afford to keep it going. SO we are selling the house and therefore the tank comes down. I'm not selling it...

    CUBICUS - Box Fish

As a female my first instinct is AWWWW!! How cute!!! As a reefer I have to say that's awsome, and I'd be afraid to loose the little guy! Good luck to both of you, can't wait to hear how it works out!

    Basket Starfish

You made mention that yours moves night/day. Mine however is fully open in the day in direct light. Should I move him?

    Feather Starfish

Is your Feather star still alive?! I was sold one as an "easy" animal to keep, I was wondering if it was still alive, and if you had advice?

    Basket Starfish

It was a store in Portland, I'll pm you the name cause I don't want to say it on here and get in trouble.

    Basket Starfish

While traveling through Oregon I stopped at a LFS and found what I was told was a basket starfish. I spent a good half-an-hour asking questions about it. How to feed it, take care of it, requirements, everything I could think of. Come to find out when I get home from my books that it is near...

    PSAS Raffle Tank-180

I can't take all the credit for the aquascaping, I had TONS of help with it from Barrier Reef when they helped me moved my tank. I have Arthritis (I'm 22), and so I have to take medication that makes me very sensitive to smells...yeah, great hobby to get into right, with all the smells. So...

    PSAS Raffle Tank-180

I got most of my rock from Barrier Reef, and The Shark Reef. Mostly it was just being picky, and getting rock from other people who had been selling it. It's good to know another female reefer, not a whole lot of us! Ash

    PSAS Raffle Tank-180

Erm...the rock isn't attached to each other. They are just resting and nestled together. Is that what your asking? No glue rods, drilling. Its just bigger peices on the bottom and then building up and out from there. And yes that can be somewhat dangerous if you move around. hahaha

    PSAS Raffle Tank-180

So this is basically how the tank looks now. A few rocks have been moved, things added, fish changed out. But this is how it looked at the begining! I also want to thank Salmonslayer, Steven11, and Herefishyfishy. Those three steped up when I got my very first tank and helped me out, if it...

    PSAS raffle Tank

Yeah the fish that were in a 24 and 34 thought they were in the ocean I'm sure! Its just so beautiful to look at, and everyone who comes by comments on it. Thanks again for making it possible. Being a college student this would have taken years and years to be able to do this.

    PSAS Raffle Tank-180

I want to first thank CF for donating a half-off a custom build to the PSAS raffle. I also want to thank the guys at Barrier Reef for dealing with all my questions and blank looks, and for never making me feel like a “dumb girl.” I won the half off at the 2008 raffle that was held at Penny’s...

    PSAS raffle Tank

I want to first thank CF for donating a half-off a custom build to the PSAS raffle. It’s great of you guys to take your time to help local reefers, and here is one that is happy that you did. I won the half off at the 2008 raffle that was held at Penny’s Salsa. Anyway, it’s been up and running...

    Aquascaping

Hahaha, looks familiar, cept my shrimpy isn't as red, and is on his third Yasha. I have to admit it is my favorite fish!!

    Aquascaping

The big question is do you like it? My advice is to get some tonga branches, they stick out, which (it seems to me) allows the fish to swim around them, changing their swim patterns more, and creates visual interest. Besides you may find another peice of rock down the road you may want to add.

Sexing a Yasha Hase Shrimp Goby

Does anyone know if there is a way to sex a Yasha Hase? I would like to get a mate for mine but I don't know how to tell the two sexs apart. Any ideas? Theories? Thanks, Ashley

 Wow...um. I want to see if someone buys it for that much. Seriously. I mean it might sell better if it would have been Mary or something...weird.

    Great event

I had a lot of fun at the meeting. I just got in touch with Clear Fabrications abou the 50% off build and I can't say how excited I am. I never would have had a chance like this to build a custom tank otherwise. I'm really excited to get started (next week we have our first meeting)!!!!! Thanks...
