    Test kits even salifert are not overly accurate a probe/meter is a better option. Co2 is an issue for every reef including real reefs. I doubt co2 is dropping the tank as low as stated. I would test it with a meter if I was concerned. If your not using a carx or dosing lots of high ph additives...

    one last thought... 55 gal

    I would do a 55 long before a nano of any type. The 55 can make a very nice reef even with the front to back limitation. Nanos are cheap and take up very little space but are not a good way to start out in the hobby. Take a look at some of the photos in bigT's gallery he had a nice little 55...

    Bryopsis at first is a nutrient issue. Once it takes hold no matter what you will have a hard if not impossible time getting rid of it. Escalating the Mg. Level with Kent Tech-M to well above 1500 will disrupt photosyntheses. This works most of the time. ANR

    A ph of 7.7 is a little low and is probably a testing error. Ph is co2 dependant for lack of better words. Most ph issues are either a inaccurate test or excess room co2.
