I am thinking about doing a long nano tank that would be in the sub 20g range, however it will be tied into my main system so no worries of bio load etc. I was wondering what lighting are poeple using for shallower tanks I have a 70w HQI that is on my AP but wondering if a shallow tank was built if T-5's would work better? What kind of flow do you think would be best since I will have the ability to design the tank around the purpose. Thanks for the help guys...

I would just put the T-5's on the top and just have water coming in one side and flowing out the other like a constant flow in one direction??
or one MJmod in the lower corner to get a good circular flow would stir it up well!
There has been some new research that random flow is not the best, a circular, toilet type flow that switches directions at least every hour is actually better for corals than constant, random flow!

Take a look at the bent front clam tanks. Makes for much nicer viewing. Not hard to build and easy to light with t5.
