    Man, I think it's a commerson. It's from Hawaii, got it over a year and a half ago. It's grown so much that he owns the tank. He's eaten a couple of my fish-and have had to trade to in my purple tang because I got tired of watching the close calls.

    HQI strobing!

    We have a Maristar unit with 2x 250 HQI's and 4 T5's and one of the HQI keeps strobing. We have to shut off the ballast and turn it back on for the strobing to stop. Any idea's??

    I have some Xenia to get rid of.

    It is a pulsing Xenia species. Also have some Anthilia. Sorry, Sundays are horrible for me. I am at church all day. Saturdays are best and I can even do some weeknights excluding Wednesday.

    No takers? I thought for sure there would be more response to this thread. Maybe eveyrone's at the Barrier Reef Grand Opening! It sure was a great set-up. great deals on fish, corals, and equipment/supplies! Let me know guys! I'm willing to trade for stuff as well. Just need to get rid of it!

    Was thinking $5 a head. I think that's a good deal! Don't know why they don't live at the Shark Reef. Maybe lighting issues. I have always had mine under T-5's and now MH-HQI's. Could be water chemsitry. Who knows? D

    I've had this Sea Apple for about 4-5 months now. Have had no problems and kept a close watch. But tonight when I got home from work I noticed this small ball-like thing sticking out of its anus. I know its not toxic tubules because those are spaghetti-like and sticky. I tried to pull it off...

    T5 Wattage needed for 90 tall

    Thats what we were thinking. We were told that with an 8 bulb we would be getting about 8 watts per gallon. Is that because of the individual reflectors boosting the wattage? Thanks for your help.

    We're looking at two options for T5 lighting... a 6x54 set up or an 8x54 set up. Right now we are using two PCs and have 440 watts total between the two of them. Would a 6 bulb be much of an upgrade or is going to an 8 bulb better for our size tank? We also need to know what the preferred bulb...

    yeah... sorry to hear about that. Given the continued response from this company I think we've decided to avoid them. They continue to evade my very direct questions and thats very suspicious.

    You've got a great point. However, the increase in electricity and the extras that you may need including a chiller add to that final cost too.
