Well,
Here are a couple pictures of my 11 gallon nano. Still far from being done. I tried getting a picture of my Pearly Jawfish in the rubble on the bottom left, but he wouldn't come out. Anyways Enjoy the pictures.

And Another

This is a picture of my Bright Orange Ricordia that I saved from my 125 gallon, along with a light blue ricordia and deep blue zoo's that I recieved from clownrmd, THANKS!!

Looks sharp Bobby!!!

Would you mind giving us a run down of the livestock that's currently in there, both vertebrate and invertebrate?

Trevor

Lets see, I have:

1 - Cleaner Shrimp
1 - Multi-Barred Angel
1 - Pearly Jawfish
1 - Yasa Hashi Shrimp Goby
2 - Neon Gobies
3 - Nassarius Snails
3 - Red Leg Hermits
2 - Blue Leg Hermits
5 - Astrea Snails
1 - Nerite Snail
1 - Large Bristle Starfish

The system is filtered through an intense refugium. No Skimmer

I have a 2 Mini-Jet 404's and a little bit of sand for the look.

And you see all my corals in the picture. :) This is only about 1 month old, if that.

Hehehe, I will try to post a picture of it. The lights are turned off right now, I do the reverse lighting setup. If I remember I will try to snap some pictures tonight. It is also in a very awkward position of trying to take pictures :).

The "intense" is so many copepods and anphopods you can barely see through the side. All algae are extremely happy. At night all my rock is covered in animals from this refugium. Turning out to be a huge asset to this small tank.

I also don't dose any chemicals, this is all natural because I'm not skimming any valuable chemicals out.

Everything is growing so quick, this is why I want some sweet zoo's and ricordia, so that I can start distributing them and getting them around in the saltwater hobby. I would love to get my hands on some of those PPE's (Purple People Eators) that have been going around on ebay.

Cool Man.

Tank is looking good. I will look for you at the frag swap. FYI I have a nice nano size frag of red and green trumpet/candycane if you want it. It also has a tiny sprig of red sea xenia on it also, just get me back later w/ some badass zoo's!

Big T,
Hell yeah, I'll snag that candycane.... I was just bugging Chuck for some of his, but if you've got some nice colors then I will take it. I want to make this Nano a Frag machine. I'm thinking of setting up a couple Nano's to get this little propagation line going :). I think it is much easier to propagate in a smaller tank then larger.

Bobby, That rock you sold me is great...I think it has two clusters of zoos on it...orange and orange or white...or are they zoos? I love the orange bubble recordia...can they be moved? I would love to relocate them. The Xeniae are growing fast...they must love my tank.

There might be some zoo's on there. I'm really not sure. I had so much life on my rock I couldn't keep up. Anyways the ricordia can be a pain to relocate.

1. You have to cut them off the rock
2. You have to try to place them somewhere where they can re-attach without getting blown around.
3. Everytime I've tried to use superglue gel on these little buggers it doesn't work.

Maybe someone else that reads this can post some information of successfully relocating ridordia.

Elementary my dear Watson

Let’s see, your last post was at mid-night; your “intense” refugium is on a ‘reverse’ cycle meaning the light would not be an issue; pictures were promised and looked for; and there are no pictures.

Therefore we can only surmise that…..

Bobby is embarrassed about his housekeeping!!! :p

Why no, I do not get paid for my investigative skills. Why do you ask? :D

Thanks NaH20!!

Marine: Ha, totally forgot, I'm not a picture guy. I only take pictures when I honestly think about it. If you want you can always stop by and check out the refugium. It's only a 12" long box, by 4 - 5 inches deep (CPR Aquafuge). Anyways, I will try to get some pictures, the only problem is that they are side views and that really sucks. Because the tank is on my computer desk, plastured up agaisn't the wall, which means I can only access the refuge from the side.
Bobby

Oooo…. I think that I will have to hit you up on the invitation to see this refugium in person. I think that sometime this week Todd and I are going to make a trip up to Blue Serria, maybe we can find a way to plug it in all together? Would it be alright if I brought Todd along?

Trevor

No you can't bring Todd along, j/k. I'm in Federal Way, so I'm not to far from Todd's place. Are you interested in doing a refugium? Is that what brings the interest? If so, I can help you set one up. I love setting them up, if they are done right they can be a huge assest to your system. Many people get the wrong impression about what these do.
Bobby

Well Bobby, you ask an interesting question. I am interested in the whole refugium concept. But, I’m a firm believer in the KISS concept. So, what I was looking to do was get a sump that could be a refugium in the future, even if I didn’t set it up that way initially.

Also, I have no shame. I’m looking at the Reef set-ups that I can and stealing ideas for my own tank! :p
