Well, we did it again! The Sol Duc River treated us well once again and as promised, Duane got to redeem himself and bagged a couple beauties. His son Ethan got a firsthand experience of reelin' in a nice Coho and even hung onto a big King for a moment that I hooked up.

My days catch: 27# & 17# Chinook and 14# & 9# Coho

What a day indeed! :fish2: I had a great time and for a short while almost thought I would have the honorary largest fish of the day bragging rights. Then Todd's mad fishing skills kicked in and he pulled in two very nice Kings to finish off his day. :smokin: I guess its only fitting that the master show the apprentice who's teaching who.

Oh! BTW, Todd when I first opened the pic with your fish in it. I thought your 27# was a chicken halibut laying there. That thing is a lunker!

Well I can't believe that no one has played on this thread yet. So... as long as I keep on catchin' I'll keep on postin' the pics. Floated the Skykomish River on Friday and did pretty well with a couple of fish in the 8-10lb range, cold and rainy so no pics. Today a friend and I gave it another shot today to fish in the sunshine and was good for two limits of Coho (3 for the Smoker and 3 fresh/bright ones for the grill)

P.S. the splotching on the fillets is lemon juice, along with a dash of lemon-pepper and brown sugar

Well.... I just had to post one last time on this thread. Had not bothered posting any fish pics from subsequent trips where I/we continued to slay them but who would of thought that I'd still be doing this well on the last day of November. So my buddy Jim gives me a call last night and asked me if I thought there would still be any catchable Coho in the Skykomish and I say "There is only one way to find out..." Started the float about 9am, to the Honey Hole by 9:30 and F-I-V-E fish in the boat by 11am then had to weed through a few to get the last and brightest fish around 1pm... so without further ado....

I could not have had a better year of Salmon Fishing in Washington State.

Cheers until next year, Todd

WOW! You sure weren't kidding about those suckers being bright and fresh. Nice catch!

For those of you that feel jealous and wish you were there today, (well, I am too) at least Todd didn't call you while you were at work just to rub it in.
For the rest of the afternoon, I'd grin to myself and say "That *%$#@*&^& *&$@## Todd!! Out fishing!! He should be working on something at Home!! Not fishing!!" Maybe I'm extra jealous

i am not surprised at all about Todd out there fishing and marked up on his 3rd punch card,,with silver coho..wow !!congrats you are ..very nice looking fishes.
