I like the idea of a drip pan. What I may do is put a border on the bottom shelf and seal it well. I think that would be adaquate. The alarm has already been addressed. X10 make a pezzo modual that will be incorporated into the system.... I will also ensure that my cell phone gets notification of a falt condition...

The R/C Man said:About the savvy thing.... Thanks for the link but I think that is more work than I really want to do. With the unit mentioned above I can just plug in the two items to a normal socket and then easily wire in the batteries and plug it in to the wall. Simple. Maybe it is me just being lazy.
