My question is, does anyone know or tried to have 5 peculiar clowns in the same tank. They are all smaller than 2 in and there is 2 large bubble anenomes and one smaller one spread out in the tank? Will they settle and every live or do u think the strongest will survive?

Almost all evidence points to this being a bad idea, at least until you get into the 3-400 gallon range, and its iffy even then. You will likely end up with a single pair killing off the rest of the competition. Its one of those things that I see almost everyone advise against.
Having said that, I haven't tried it, so all my 'evidence' is anecdotal... and I say that with the only caveat to it being that I haven't tried it, or something similar, because that anecdotal evidence seems to be pretty overwhelmingly stating that it won't work.

I have 4 in a 125. Had a pair then purchased a 60 that came with 2 more. 2 claim the rbta garden, 1 has a mushroom rock and one who has a slight deformity generally sleeps with the leather. I dont know if this is typical, just thought Id throw out my experience.

How long have they been together?

about 15 months.

Cool, I'd be interested to hear how this progresses over time if you'd be willing to post it. I've never seen anyone post long term success stories with this (at least in a tank so 'small')..each fish is different and all that, but from everything I've read, once you get a mature pair, they won't allow another pair in 'their tank'.

The tank I looked at yesterday had 8 of them. 180 gal. I don't know seems as if the pair is hosting one of the anenomes and then the single is hosting another and then 2 others are just swimming around.. hope they all live..

I had 4 tomato clowns in a 300-gallon tank once, but had to take 2 out once a pair formed. Tomato clowns are supposed to be one of the meaner types.

You just never know I have a 150gl that had 2 percula's then later added 2 black ocellaris they showed mild aggression toward one another then after about a month they where sharing anemones and getting along great.
