Well I found a Seaclear 8 gal hex at a garage sale :)

My first question with this is....would you paint the side(s) black? I was thinking of painting the back sides (3 sides of the hexagon) black with the 3 front 'panels' for viewing.

Looking for ideas or suggestions at this moment. Could possibly become a clown tank....of the smaller species.

Can you breed pipefish or seahorses? Just the one side where equipment goes. unless you use more than one side for it.

So I painted the back side with one coat of oil based enamel. Then I looked at it from the front and it didn't look 'right' with just one panel painted, so I went ahead and painted the rear 3 panels of the hex tank. Looks a lot better from the front.

I will do another coat, and post the tank here later.

Ok, I finished painting the back of the tank, a total of three back panels.

I used Rust-O-Leum Oil Enamel in Gloss Black. Total of two coats.

I will decide plumbing next.
