Here's some of my tanks that are currently up and running.
First my 180g reef. It's hooked into my 40g rimless frag tank and then into a 75g sump with skimmer, calcium reactor, phosban reactor. Not to sure about the size and kind of equipment. Thats what I keep my husband around for.LOL. It has a 250watt MH x3 over the top.

These are wild colonies I just got and waiting to see what they will turn in to

My 150g fowlr system. Nothing fancy about the equipment. Has a skimmer in the sump and a 40g refugium hooked into it. Has a 4 bulb T5 fixture over it
This is before I redid the rock work

Right after

My eel rock

Sadly I just lost my lion to old age a few weeks ago

Very nice! I love the tanks that you have. And of course I like the coldwater tank you have. Its a small club we are in:) You can check out the coldwater reefer club in the club section. What kind of fish is the big guy? And wow your ochre stars huge what do you feed them? I'd like to see more of your carpets too. As I said nice tanks I keep thing I want to do a FOWLR tank.

The fish is a kelp greenling and I do a mix of muscles, crab, shrimp, and squid to feed the tank. It's the same mix I feed my fowlr.

Very cool, and I see that cold water tank is filling up. You might make more of us cold water people w/ that great set up :)

I love the cold water system. It's a blast to spend the day at the coast finding new treasures for the tank.

Your right about that! I was down in newport last weekend collecting for my tanks. It's a close up view of an eco system. I think it builds a better connection to my tank. Each piece having its story of when where and how. Not to mention the beauty of the oregon coast:)

Last time we went down we found a tube worm that we brought back and added to the tank. Also found a nest of eels but those guys were way fast and knew the rocks better than us. Was really hoping for one since I have a tank full of warm water ones. Hopefully next time I can get one. I love the nudis we have found. I keep the nem population up in the tank to give them something to feed on. It's a part of the hobby I'm surprised more people dont do since you get to collect for your tank locally.

Here's some pics of my anemone collection. I'm a sucker for anemones. Also have the mini red carpets but they like to climb into places that is impossible to get a pic.
RBTA's

Flower anemones

My favorite the carpets

Was wondering how long it would take you to through up those close ups of the nems. Can we see the cold water ones?

They are fun and once you get the tank minus a fishing license and shellfish tag everything is free. Plus it's more rewarding to me to be able to collect my own

So much diversity between cold and tropic, you must love seeing them almost side by side. Same thing completely different picture. They are very cool!

Bad part is you try to do the same thing with the cold system that is going on in the warm so it becomes a never ending battle. lol

Just when you had a handle on keeping the temp down on the tropic tank. I think you get board easily Heather, always tanking on a new challenge lol.

Have to keep the pressure on. Lol. Now I have to keep one tank around 55 and the others at around 76. Not the easiest task in one room. But it wouldn't be fun if it wasn't a challenge. Next step is a pair of harlequin tusks living peacefully in the reef tank with my shrimp. Normal is boring. It's more fun to do what they say you can't and prove them wrong.

I do enjoy turning my head upside down and backwards when taking care of each type. Going from my carpet nem tanks to my Coldwater systems and back again
