Well come here in a month or two i will be downgrading my tank to a 65aga . but my current setup has 2 400w MH and i know thats kinda overkill for a 100g tank and its way too much needed for a 65aga so i was just wondering if just t5s would be good or t5/MH combo retro fit style would be better i plan on having some sps and lps and a couple softies, and a clam in there. I was just wondering what a good setup would be and also how would i acclimate the my current setup to the lower light wattage. thanks.

Yo Slim just throw the 400w halide over the 65g. I had one over a 20T about 12'' from the water surface and everything was good.

so basically just get like a lumeric reflector and just have it suspeneded that would save me lots of trouble of buying lights. and the tank i got from you will be up and running once i move house

yeah thats true i just didnt know how i would make a hood or suspend it so i dont have the light lighting up the whole house lol maybe make a pvc pipe curtain holder and have that go around with some curtains haha sorta like how chad does his lol be tacky too o yeah

It is pretty easy to make a ghetto canopy like mines LOL. i can help you out with that.

haha yeah thats true lol and some black kylon paint to make it not stand out lol maybe my soon to be wife can do some decorations on it haha well see. thanks tho and if u need any help with ur new project just let me know always down to help
