The Portland Pirate festival was this past weekend... As usual B.O.O.M(or the Brotherhood of Oceanic Mercenaries) was the cornerstone of the festival. At least IMO. lol. They set up a period encampment on the shore, and hold a ship to shore cannon battle that is eardrum-busting(read: totally awesome). I highly recommend it to anyone interested in things of the piratical nature. I do reenactment myself so try to make it to as many things such as these as I can. Not to mention my favorite pirate band, Captain Bogg and Salty, is there every year...
