Acrylic heating mending/ glueing HELP

I have a question:

acrylic builders what can u do if there is a large crack on the top of a euro braced tank? panels are okay its just the brace that cracked.

i heard u can melt it/ heat it ( what kind of tool would i need for that?)
OR use can can use weldon to fuse /seal the crack together.

i need a DIY solution unless someone knows a store who can cut off the brace and replace it with a new one.

Heating is not an option. Patching or replacing is. Do you have photo's?

Glue a patch of acrylic over the cracked section using weldon, I did this on my sump cross bracing that was cracked.

The best solution is to have someone cut off the old top, and fab a new one. The patch is a band-aid, and will in some cases continue the stress to another place. I have seen tanks with three different patches. Good luck, Jason

I did it on top, I am sure bottom would work as well or do both.
