Well here are finally some pictures of the new tank. It has been up and running since last Monday 3/2/09. Here are the tank stats:
Lights:
108 watt T5 Nova Extreme Pro main lights
4 1 watt white LED Powerbrite strip (on with the main lights to add shimmer)
4 1 watt blue LED Powerbrite strip (on all the time and used as moon lights)
submersible LED tube light for the refugium lights
Controller:
Reef Keeper 2 with temp and PH probe
Skimmer:
standard Solana proteim skimmer, possibly upgrade to an Aqua C Remora
Sump:
1 bag of chemi pure
Chaeto algae
mechanical auto top off float switch
small powerhead (to stir up the water since it no longer cascades over the skimmer output, due to the water level being 2-3 inches higher)
Tank:
Hydor Koralia 1 I think
standard Solana return pump with flexible nozzles (pump is in sump)
I raised the water level in the sump area by about 2-3 inches over what the standard water level would normally be. I wasn't getting any good skimming off of the skimmer becasue I felt the water level was too low. Now the water level is about 2 inches above the output for the skimmer, thus raising the bubble level in the skimmer nicely into the cup, we will see how this works out as the skimmer breaks in, may have to adjust the water level again.
