As has been pointed out many times in the past. It is not higher Ca++ that makes corals grow faster, it is higher alk and pH. Chris Jury's studies are also showing this. His MS was on this and he shocked the coral reef "gods" with his thesis last year at the coral conference in West Palm Beach. Chris is like one of the two smartest people I know. On RC look for "MCsaxmaster". He is the guy to talk to on this issue. He is now working on his Ph.D. Even Randy's eyes open up when he talks. He is the new coral chem expert on this planet
