Well I'm about to give up on this mod. I've tried everything but it just keeps spinning in reverse. It will start in reverse all the time and will hit the bump stop for about 5 seconds then finally start pushing water. I think the longest it has ran in the right direction is 10 seconds. It will then go back into reverse and keep running up against the bump stop until I unplug it and plug it back in. BTW, this is the MJ1200 with the Dumas 3004 prop.

This is the kit that I purchased from MJMods.com, which I am very unsatisfied as nothing fit and all the notches to go onto the pump were not right and too big to slip onto the tabs. Anyways, what am I doing wrong? The bump stop is working as it will hit it to begin with and run the correct way. Is it possibly something to do with the pump itself and the magenetic motor that is causing it to continually run in reverse no matter what I do to the thing? Any help would be great as I would love to get these things going.

Also, no pics at the moment but possibly when I get home.

Bring it along for the snail transfer and Scott can look at it and give you some suggestions. I can also bring one of mine to show you complete. :)

Dont give up they are very cool when you get them going right.. :)

I agree. When done correctly they are GREAT !!!

I have a mj900 modded and it works flawlessly. I had the same problem at first. It would run for a little while and then it would start hit the stopper and trying to go in reverse. I would unplug it and start again and it would run a few minutes and do it again... What I found to be the problem was I made the carbon shaft a little too short... I took it apart and added a bushing made out of the carbon fiber tube on the back side of the magnet about an 1/16 of an inch thick and have not had any problems since...
It now creates massive flow and no problems to date.......
Goos luck with yours...
