are there a lot of shops where you are in england? or do you guys do mostly mail order. i would think you would have more access to hard to find equipment from germany and holland than we do over here. but i have heard that we seem to get better corals, doesnt seem that way looking at your tank.

good nice corals are hard to come by over here. shops are few and far between.

on the equipment front, we basically get what we pay for. there is not a lot of knowledge about new products here in the uk, take for example pumps. we are only just starting to get hold of iwaki pumps.. oceanrunner and eheim are the main pumps here. mag and gen-x haven't even been heard of.
u guys are so lucky to have it all.

if we wanted to pay shipping on items from germany and holland we could probably have better tanks than we see.. but we are penny pinching english.. we hate paying for things when we can find a different type for cheaper. it may not be the best but it was cheap. it's this kind of mentality that is keeping us in the darks ages of reef keeping. we do the best we can with the products we have.

shops are starting to wake up and import new item.. XM bulbs seem to be the newest additions aswell as icecap.

i'm hoping within the next 6 months to have my own coral farm and to import corals from bali and indonesia.. but i need some contacts!! ;)

help me out guys.
