Nice pics! Thanks for posting. I like the gorgonians you have in there. Are they photosynthetic or are having to target feed them. Can you give some more details about your setup? Tank size/shape, pumps, filtration (or point me to a link that has the info)?

Thanks for sharing....the pics help a lot

It was a 65G AGA I shut down in August, after running 6 years. Circulation was with an Iwaki 40RLT returned to either a left or right tank-side nozzle that I selected with a valve. I used a skimmer on and off but main nutrient control was using a veg filter where I exported turf algae. Single center-mounted 250W (I had removed the center brace on the tank and replaced it with wire) plus 96W of blue PC to help mellow out the 6500K. I used 250W 6500K bulb over the veg filter.

Those Carribean Gorgos came from Dr Mac in 2005 or 2006. I think the genus were Muricea (spiny sea rod) and Psuedopterogorgia (the purple willow), but those are WAGS. Both are zooanthelate and grew fairly well with no special feedings. The purple willow was flexible like sea grass, the sea rod was pretty stiff and seemed to like stronger current. I also got Psuedopterogorgia bipinnata in the same shipment, which is pose to be a tough gorgo, but it fell apart in less than a week, apparently succumbing to some bacterial attack. Dr Mac still has a "photosynthetic gorgonian" category on his website but infrequently carries them. These are wild collected and the ones I got had the holdfast popped loose from the base when collected. I attached the holdfast to an anchor with a zip tie and as I recall both had attached in a month or less.
