I just noticed that my tank is not leveled. It's off by little bit less than 1/8 of an inch. My tank is a 33 Gal Cube. Is it gonna be a problem? If so, what's the best way to fix it?

Thanks,

haha, i was just looking at my tank and remembering when i built it i didnt know what i was doing. the whole thing including the stand is a little off, kinda obvious!! its been like that for 4+ years with no problems :)

Ive had a 20, 55, 70 (that was in several homes over ten years) and a 90 that were never leveled. Never had a problem with any of them. The 90 was in an 80 year old house and was near an inch out of level from on end to the other. My biggest conceren with it was that it didnt look good.

Mine is about 1/4 inch off and it's fine. It is a 54 corner bow front, the side is about 27" long.

My 55g is about 1/4 to 1/2" off and it's fine. Mine's acrylic, I don't know if glass or acrylic is more susceptible to problems if it isn't level.

water levels itself so the fish and corals wouldnt know a difference. Whats your main concern? I dont think this would effect your equipment, but i could be wrong.

I'm concerned about the glass cracking and wet carpet.
I read on RC that unleveled tank causes glass tanks to crack.

yes, that can happen. I had a 55 gallon tank a long time ago that was off level front to back, and the center brace failed. The tank didn't crack or leak, I caught it in time, but the front glass bowed way out, it was spooky.
Now when I move a tank or set up a new one, I use a carpenters level and wood shims to level up the stand with the empty tank on it. I check the level on the top of the tank, (not the stand) I check it front to back, side to side and diagonally on all 4 corners, and I use the wooden shims underneith the stand to adjust it accordingly.

I got my 125 set-up, once the water leveled out I noticed the tank is off by a little less than 1/8". The only difference it has made is that more water goes through the left over flow than the right. Looks like I need a new level since the one I had told me I was good. Oh well.

My tank is slightly off now because I have a 48" tank on a 6ft stand lol! The room slops over 1/2" in that corner, I do have a large shim. Glass you want level to distribute the weight evenly as any side too much out would stress the glass.
