I got a chance to play around with this Meter in my tank. Thanks to a kind fellow reefer. My light Par with a 400w Radium under LumenBright reflectors driven by an IC ballast and bulb about 17'' from the surfce. These are my Par values. Starting at the surface the Par values was 550-600 at 6'' in the water it was 400-450 at 12'' it was 300-350 at 18'' it was 200-250 and at 24'' it was a steady 160. Any how going by this rule here that KevinPo put up.
50-150 PPF most soft corals.
100-250 PPF most LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals.
250-400 PPF most SPS (Small Polyp Stony) corals.
550-750 PPF the most light demanding SPS corals.
I was rather surprised at how my SPS are doing at 18''. The colors are nice vibrant rich colors even at the lowest lighting for SPS.
