That's neat! I agree with Luey! How could you eat in a place like that! I'd be too busy checking out all the tanks!:D

That's the coolest thing ever.. way better than rainforest cafe.. I wonder if they do franchising ???? :D :D

NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! It sucks monkey testicles. Most of the fish have HLLE, the food is not good. I went there it was awful. I just got pissed off. The fish are very poorly colored all the decorations are plastic. Its really not cool at all.

arghhh - what disapointing news.. I hate that they don't treat their animals well. They need doods like us to run the fish stuff and then it could be the coolest place ever.. bummer they don't

Yeps...I agree with Wright....I felt really sorry for the fish in the big tank. I walked around saying...'It has ich'..."That's HLLE"..etc...

The food is quite expensive also. Nice people, not so good food. I did walk around much of the time we were supposed to be eating, however. **shrugs** It was an experience.

Interesting. I didn't eat there (Yeah, it says I'm from CA, but my mom lives in Nashville), but we went through the place, and checked out the tank. I didn't see lots of disease, but I did see lots of fake corals. However, what are you going to do with that kind of display? Of course they're fake corals.

Right across the corridor, on the other side of the mall was a ray touch/feed place. They had a few random tanks around the edges of the place, but the main show was the ray feeding. $1 bought about a half dozen sardines, or something, and they show you how to hold them so the rays can get them out of your hand without giving you a hicky.

Anyway... I remember in the restaurant, the "main" tank was ceiling to just below floor, IIRC, and probably about 20 feet by 10 feet. The water had lots of debris in it.

I hear you Sherman. I was there the day before they opened the ray petting room. I was talking to the guy doing security outside. Looking in. He was telling me that they had just filled it all with water yesterday and put the fish in today and were going to be open tomorrow and to come back. It was last summer when I was there so maybe it has gotten better, it was bad when I was there. I set right behind the arch tank in the bar area (no drinking just eating) LOL I got to see the fish up close for a good long time. HLLE was bad then.

That is a bummer! That looks like an awesome set-up and from the pics it should blow Rainforest Cafe out of the water. Too bad it sounds like they don't care for the animals properly. The Rainforest cafe is still pretty cool (the best one I have been to is in Chicago). I had a chance to stop by our local Rainforest Cafe in South Center before they opened for the day and chat with the care takers. Man the fish there get better food than the restraunt serves and they seem to care about the animals very much. They even have a quaranteen set-up in the back with all the filtration to take care of any sick fish. ( by the way, anyone into diving, they are all ways looking for people to clean the tanks and sand/ buff out scratches ! LOL)

Yup, I'm pretty fond of that quote. I got it from my Brother Kirk who in my opinion is one of God's gifts to all things mechanical. He used it a lot to describe his philosophy on engine size. (of course that was before gas prices shot up not so long ago) I doubt he's changed his mind and I stole his saying fair and square!

I debated on "......bigger isn't allways better, but you can't make butter with a tooth pick....."

< HIJACK the hijack>

"......bigger isn't allways better, but you can't make butter with a tooth pick....."
 I like that one. But my philosophy is, "If a lot is good and more is better, then too much is just enough."
You can apply that to anything.

the list goes on.

Just so I don't get kicked out of here, I'll say something relevent to the topic. I went to mohegan sun casino on thurday and they had some really cool tanks too. One that was overstocked with really cool fish. I saw a couple of unicorn tangs in there. They had another tank that only had either cinnamon or tomato clowns (I don't know better), must have been 50 of em'! Then they had a 20' high wall aquarium with 4 sharks and a bunch of other fish, some looked like the ones at the restaurant. There were also a couple of triggers that poo bigger than the biggest grouper I've ever seen. And then over in the cornor by the shadows and the bathrooms they had a couple of puney 250gal reefs. But who cares about thoes. I'll take some pics when I go back.
