Attatching frags

The sandwich effects is truly the best way to go unless you put the tube of glue in the water and squeeze it out-the later is the only way I have ever gotten frags to "really stick" and I mean turbo snail resilient.
Problem is the tube of SG goes bad in a relatively quick time frame.
My tank is nearly all SPS and you don’t have to use a lot of the epoxy or the gel unless it is a large colony and even then its not long before the frag encrusts unless you are talking some Granulosa, Loripes or really slow grower.

That is my experience any way over the years I have been fragging and placing-

I share the sandwich method with anybody that attaches corals and has not heard of it and everyone has said that’s the best-IMO/E

Good Luck!

I agree with the sandwich method. There was some dude named reefnjunkie on our local forum who mentioned this to me and found it works the best. It's still not 100% turbo snail proof but definitely works the best.

I have fragged zoas onto sheets of acrylic with great success....nothing popped loose

Here is a pic or 2.....the first pic you see was cut for a competition I was running on my local club. All the contestants frags were fragged and mounted this was then mounted onto acrylic plugs for the competition. I don't believe there were any issues.....I will attach images of the plugs and frags mounted so you can see.

Keep in mind those plugs are acrylic....40 frags went into 40 different systems without much issues....other than the actual plug being willing to float
