Clarkii's hatched last night and I kept most in the tank in a decontaminated container that is reef safe 100%. The light is off still and will give me the needed time to find a five gallon tank unless it got turned on while I am away. don't want them to waste their enegry. Any tips on raising them?

Do you have Joyce Wilkerson's book? I understand that this book is the best for rearing clownfish. Also, do you have any cultures of food for them?

Here are a couple of links for the time being: Baby Clown Survival

I don't know if this one will be much help for rearing babies, but it is a good read:Ampniprionidae (Clownfish) Workshop

i have fed them that one stuff............um..........................................
.........what's it called.......................kent marine phytoplex. that's it. They love it. There's hardly anywhere I can get a culture for a decent price, they are cheap, but the shipping KILLS, on ebay anyways. Anyone here have any roti's? I might try rotifeast or whatever it's called from Reef nutrition. The one's I kept before only lasted two weeks and developement was behind, the temp was 78 and they grew too slow. I might go and buy Clownfish, the book, I have heard about it before.

Let us know how they do! I wish I had more experience in this department to help you out more. You might want to check out this forum: MOFIB - Clownfish/Anemonefish. I like to read through threads there. It is amazing what folks are breeding and attempting to rear. Hats off to their efforts.

Hi EliteRecon,

I just saw this. Yes, I do agree, that you should get Joyce Wilkerson's book. It is not only informative, but is a great book on breeding clowns.

I am sorry that I did not see this earlier.

Best,
Ilham
