ok i started my saltwater tank in a 24 gal aquapod..how can i mod the back chambers?:confused:i only have heater and filter pad on the 2nd back chamber,,none on the first..im planning not to run a protein skimmer as im decided to do water changes every week..i stop running carbon as my xenias shrink..i will try chemi-pure but as right now i only have filter pad and live rocks for filtration..can i make the back chamber as a refugium?:confused:like put some chaeto and rubble rocks?the water level on the back chamber and the water level on main are the same which kind of not good as theres no surface skimming..anyone have suggestions pls?PLEAAASEEEE... P.S my coral frags seems to be doing ok for now..wish we have a nano forum..

To awnser your quetion yes you can do it just depend on how creative u want to be.

just throw some rubble rock in and take out the filter pad., im unsure how the aquapod setup looks but u could probally cut the sections out to make the fuge larger.

do u have an enclosed canopy? or open top?

Just an FYI. Starting 2 threads of the exact same topic in 2 different forums really isn't very effective. It'll be more confusing than anything. This particular forum is meant for feedback and suggestions about Reef Frontiers. It's meant to give the administrators ideas on what we think about RF. The other thread you started, that's identical to this one, in the New to Reefkeeping forum is the appropriate place for this, and where you'll get the best advice.

if you wanted you could buy a rack that fits in there and rum fuge at the bottom and what ever else you wanted steve t makes them you can find him at nanoreef.com i got one for my biocube 14 it works great

You can easily make a small rack out of eggcrate and zip ties that'll fit in the back chamber. You can use this rack to hold media.

As for your water level, do you have all of the slots blocked off except the very top one? That's what we've done with our new 24 aquapod and the water in the back chamber is about 2" lower than the display. I have 2 MJ900s back there though.
