Base Rock From Florida

Just surfing around checking out various base rock sites and i came upon this one: http://216.25.82.220/Rock.htm Wondering if anyone has ordered from them before. If so, how heavy is this rock, did you like it..hate it??

I will be setting up a 60 gallon in the next month or two and wanted to use about 50 lbs of base rock and 30 lbs live.

I havent oredered form that site BUT I have ordered from www.hirocks.com and was very happy. Nice sized pieces great shapes.

just checked out the site. They're very reasonable too. I was going to make some DIY rock and have almost that much invested and it will never quite be like real live rock.

Just make sure you wash the rock off really well. Its pretty dirty when you get it

i think i'll get some when they get more of their good stuff in. what size did you get, I may just get the smaller stuff if its big enough. how long have you had it in your tank? Pics?

I bought 30 lbs of the best hirocks for my 20 gallon 2 years ago and wasn't impressed with what i got. Heavy and dense rock. I used it anyway but would have prefered something a little lighter in weight. It was VERY dusty.....if i recall correctly it took 4-5 rinsings and a blast from the outdoor nozzle to get it clean enough. Not really bashing it,it has worked fine but when you say "the best" I was looking for something lighter. Just my .02¢

I ordered from ReefRocks they take a picture of your rock before they ship it, so you can ok it. They also hose it off.
