Battle of the pistols?

A couple weeks back when all the critters were in an ice chest, it seems my lost pistol shrimp crawled into the hang on filter. Well, since I had thought he was gone forever and went and replaced him.

Question: Can two tiger pistol shrimp live together and share one yellow watchman goby or do I have to hear the on going popping sound unitil one throws a deadly blow? :doubt:

Its like a show down at ok coral. ha ha ha:lol:

I've heard both yes and no. Most yes answers come however to a mated pair, so if you want to try, get a PS of the same type.

I have two of the same type, they have found each other, and the popping has not stopped so at least they seem to handle each others blows so far. Hopefully they will pair up.

It drives me nuts that I cant see them fire at each other, I only hear them.

yeh my mate has a pistol and hes started feeding it after he placed a coral in its home and he pinched him for it now when ever a syreinge cums near his hole he comes straight out all pistols fireing

i think i have one in my soft coral tank have only ever heard it at night when im falling asleep but never seen it hopefully he can hide from my trigger fish maybe hes trying to send me an sos lol
