Sail Fast, Live Slow
I have a 75g Saltwater aquarium which i am in the process of re-vamping after an ich attack wiped out everything. Today i took out all of the live rock and the 1 fish i had left(dont worry i released them back tot he wild) and gave the tank a thorough cleaning (i didnt bother changing any water, i did a 20% change not too long ago) I also added a PhosBan reactor using SeaChem PhosGuard.
I have a Fluval 405 Canister filter, a seio 620gph Powerhead, a Phosban Reactor, a 200watt Aqueon heater, and a coral life aqualight retro fit
Since i live in the bahamas it is not as easy as going on over to the pet store and buying rocks and fish.... I have to go looking for them (and it can be difficult finding un-diseased fish)... In a few days i plan to go out for a few fish and some rock...
I was wondering what is a good amount of rock to put in, and what are some average evap. rates for a 75 gallon salty, my temp is holding at 80...too much????
right now all my test results are good...just waiting for some fish
Photos to come in a day or two
