Check it out, one of my clowns has started hoseting my carpet anemone I bought a couple years ago for $20.00. The one thats started hosting is a small onyx clown, I have one other onyx which will hopefully play copy-cat, and one black clown too.

I just thought Id toss in an update here. Everything is coming along nicely, and as of tomorrow the calcium reactor will be up and running. I will take some pics tomorrow night before the reactor has a chance to dump my Ph to 5 and kills everything.

Heres a cap I picked up at barrier :). Photo not altered.

Also, the tunze skimmer was quite a disappointment. In two weeks of skimming it pulled out only a couple ounces of really clear skimmate. There was no way to tune it in to really pull out the crap. I did my own custom mod and whamo! Heres after about 18hrs of skimming, Its been up and running modded about 4 days and the results have been the same every night.

Brett, it was pulling some very nice nog for me...might need a look from skimmerwhisperer. It was pulling nasty nog after only a few hours of use when I got it up and running. The only thing I can think of is the water level, I never had it up that high, but like I said skimmy can give you some help with this skimmer since it came from him originally and he knows all about it.

This was the same skimmer only about 12-16 hrs after getting it running...As you can see, lots of foam, had to clean out the riser every couple days it was so thick.

It really was running like a champ, you even saw it running before you bought it, so I think there must be something wrong if it isn't performing for you without a mod.

Hey Brett how do you like your wavy sea? I've heard good things about them and I want to add one to my tank. I did not drill my tank but I plumbed in a refugium using a mj1200 pumping water to the tank and a mj900 from the tank to the refugium. I'm assuming in order to maximize the benefits of the wavy sea I'm going to need a stronger pump in order to push the water out. I think this can be done but, I'd like to know how you hooked yours up and how much water is being pushed out. We have similar setups so I thought I'd ask your thoughts on this.

Thanks!
