As some already know, I did a bit of work to my 24gal Current USA Aquapod. If you haven't seen the thread, here it is... http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21916 In any event, I wanted to post a before and after pic of the tank both ways.

The first pic shows the tank under a Current USA 70w HQI MH with 14K bulb, original black back with oveflow on the right side and bare glass bottom (also powerheads sitting in the tank)

This shot shows the same tank with a 150w Current USA HQI MH with 14K bulb, flat blue acrylic backround with center overflow, white PVC board bottom, and powerheads hidden in the back. I'm happy with the change.:)

looks very nice i like the color, ripple lighting reflextion on the rock ,look like a real reef,,,,found the power head hidden spot ahh ,very cool:)

Thanks for the replies everyone:) I can't wait to add back in my corals now seeing I have the lighting to accomodate them (just over 6 watts per gal). I think everything will look nice against the blue back:)

Wow, what a difference... Kinda like night and day.
Very nice work, Krish! Looks great! :)

Best,
Ilham

Thanks Ilham! Hope to keep it just as clean looking;)

Wow looks awesome! Are you going to do gorgonians again?

Thanks man and definately!! Should be a nice look when finished:)

Here are a few more from today...

Looks great! Can you come over and do that mod to my pod?!! Better yet maybe I could use that as a reason to go to the Bahamas!!!

Let me know how that 150 hqi set up works for you, how is the heat? I may get one later.

LOL! Thanks April!:D So far, the temp seems to be sitting pretty much the same. I will know for sure at the end of today because it was only on for about 3 hours last night so we'll see:)

Tank looks awesome!

Hey Krish - how is the overflow working?

I noticed a good increase of heat between the 70w and the 150w....reason I bought a chiller. With your fan set up you may not notice a change....

wwouu dood it looks way way way better .

Thanks Gabbs...I love it!:D

Thanks Matt!! Everything is working great! As for the heat, my temp has been lowest 78.9F and highest 79.4 today so that's great! That fan moves good air and before, I had it cut off for 2 hours during the photo period because it would drop the temp too much on the 70 HQI, but now with the new lights, I just let it run for the whole photo period which keeps it stable. So far so good:)

I love it, krish. It is like day and night, the difference and it's so clean looking.

Thanks Sue! It makes me want to set up a 6ft version:p I really love the look. I'm anxious to see corals in there now. :)

Here's a more accurate color:)
