Today makes the 10th week my tank has been cycling. I haven't done any water changes during this time (besides 6 gallons I used to fill a new nano cube for my cousin) and only adding water when topping off. I might be adding my first 2 or 3 small fish today. Is it recommended to do a atleast a 10% water change before adding them or do I start my weekly water changes a week after the fish have been added?

Krish actual fish in your aquarium???? No dogs, cats, sheep or other assorted wildlife but real fish? Holy cow!
I think you should do about a 25% water change before adding anything - even fish.

It didn't go well Nikki. My friend was supposed to bring me back some clowns since you can't find them around here and they died before he got back. So I guess I will have to wait another week or go out and catch something myself. I'm kind of glad though beccause I am contemplating an acrylic tank. I'll have to see how that one goes though cause I know my wife will kill me.

Ok my daughter got these as a gift. Can you guess there names? It was given by grandpa, otherwise no fish would have gone in till I finished the aquascaping. I just hope they survive the new LR I will be adding over the next few weeks. I am going to feel bad if something happens in that time.

This is the first one, It is only about 1" in length and seems happy, so far. Its been three days.

I have asked all that know we have the tank not to buy anything for the tank unless is liverock or super expensive gear to make the tank better :D

Are you trying to rub it in Detri?(LOL) That's Ok. I'll go out and take a picture of reef about the size of your house then (LOL) JK

PLEASE do! I would love to see it.

For those that hate Krish for it, I would love to live there and dive when I wanted too.

Yeah...I guess it's kinda cool living here, but we don't have Malls as nice as yours and places like Disney World! So you win some and you loose some, but for the hobby...I win!!!

If I had a job waiting for me and a place to call home. I would be there in a flash. I am pretty sure my wife could even get a job easily enough. She works for the Attorney General here. Just may take a little longer. But hey can't have it all. :(
